WELCOME!
Thank you for visiting Twisted Sister Creations.
Jane Christie is the owner, and designer of the jewellery at Twisted Sister Creations.
We hope you enjoy browsing the site.
Jane works out of her log cabin studio in MacLaren’s Landing, Ontario.
Here, she is surrounded by the nature that has inspired her work, along the banks of the beautiful Ottawa River.
Jane creates and designs one-of-a-kind pieces in sterling silver and 14K gold-filled wire. Her work is typically done using traditional wire wrapping techniques, often incorporating beads, semi-precious stones and an eclectic array of found items.
She also teaches the art of wire jewellery, and is constantly learning through the inquisitiveness and enthusiasm of her students. She finds great joy in sharing her passion for wirework with others. She teaches small groups in her home studio, and larger classes at Dragon's Lair Beads in Stittsville.
During the summer, the Pontiac School of the Arts, becomes home to Jane’s extended workshops. ( check the "classes" pages for more info.)
A seven page tutorial written and photographed by Jane, was published in the Summer 2007 issue of Step-by-Step Wire magazine. Two of her pieces have also appeared in the Gallery pages of this American magazine.
Jane was a featured artist on the popular show, Regional Contact , a production of CTV, in 2005.
She has also appeared twice with her jewellery on A-Channel, in Ottawa.
Jane has also been featured in the Ottawa Citizen in the Real Deal section of the newspaper.
Jane is focused on providing high-quality, unique jewellery. Each piece is carefully crafted by the artist and can be custom made to suit your individual tastes and requirements.
